" If you've been around the miniature painting scene for a while, you probably already know what I'm talking about when I say brush strokes are everything.

I'm Daniel Fernández-Truchaud, and after 10 years in this industry I kept coming back to the same thought. We talk a lot about brush strokes, but we rarely actually practice them. Not the way a traditional painter would. Not with intention.

So I built Kanvas. Think of it as a 3D canvas. A study piece. Something you sit down with specifically to work on how you move the brush. In this way you can study it the same way painters have studied for centuries.

Each serie will be inspired by one of the great brushwork masters from art history. Artists who made every stroke count. The first one is Leyendecker. If you know his work, you already get it.

More studies are coming. Different artists, different challenges. "
